How to do your make up

If you wear make up then you will probably be aware how different it can make you look. Some people prefer the minimal look whilst others like a more heavy application of make up. Getting your make up wrong can sometimes make you look ill or that you have over done it. If you really want to know the secrets to applying make up correctly then you may want to watch a number of tutorials online or even go on a make up course to find out how to do it correctly.

One of the main elements of make up that people get wrong is contouring. Contouring is when you create highlights and shadows in certain areas of your face to accentuate your features; cheek bones for example. If you do the shadows too high it can make you look gaunt, too low and it can make your face look longer than it is. You need to start off with a light colour and build it up gradually making sure that you blend well. A professional make up artist will often be able to teach you how to do your make up and depending on the shape of your face, the techniques and applications changes from person to person.
