Restylane® is based on a non-animal Hyaluronic acid. It works together with the body's own Hyaluronic acid creating volume and filling in lines.
The Hyaluronic acid in Restylane is almost identical to that naturally found in the body.
The product is naturally integrated into the tissue, allowing important nutritive agents to pass freely through the implant, and cells to pass between fragments of the gel.
Unlike permanent implants, Restylane always leaves you with a choice once the effect of the treatment has worn off.

Restylane is commonly used for wrinkle correction, lip enhancement, deep folds, smile lines. It is also used for shaping facial contours such as the cheeks or chin, and lip augmentation.
The treatment is performed in the doctor’s room by injecting Restylane into the desired area with a fine needle. This gives natural volume to the treated area and, since no pre-test is needed, it takes less than 30 minutes. The needle is very fine so the discomfort is usually minor, however anaesthetic creams can be used to reduce the pain of the injections especially in the lips.
Restylane lasts between 3 – 6 months.
